While I am no longer with IBM Security due to a layoff after IBM changed the senior management for the product marketing group, I am very proud to have had the opportunity to work with a fantastic team of product marketers.
Every day was a learning experience working with the IBM Product Marketing team. The level of collaboration they displayed in order to bring their products and services to market was truly world-class.
I learned so much during the short time I was with IBM Security. The knowledge imparted by the team will make me better at sales and engineering because I understand the process of product management and product marketing through Go-To-Market and how products are derived and prepared for the sales teams to sell to customers. I was given a crash course on sales enablement for business development (emails, LinkedIn marketing, cold calling, and content marketing). When you combine that new knowledge with my 15 years of sales engineering experience, I can offer so much more to a prospective employer.
I have learned many technical details around IBM Security QRadar Suite, a Gartner Magic Quadrant Leader in 2022 for SIEM, SOAR, Log Insights, and Endpoint Detection and Response, all combined to work as one unified security platform. When you add to the detailed technical knowledge I gained around the FORTRA MDR offering and the SME Level knowledge of AT&T’s MTDR and AlienVault Unified Security Platform, I bring a great deal of knowledge and experience to any company that may bring me onboard.
I have also worked in, followed, and written about the threat landscape for the last 15 years, giving me a unique perspective when discussing the State of Cybersecurity, predicting trends, and as a thought leader in the industry. Over the last 15 years, I have architected hundreds of security solutions for customers from SMB to Enterprise. Designing complex security solutions for technologies like Wide and Metro Area Networking, Secure Access Services Edge, software-defined WAN, VPN, Voice and Data over ISDN, Voice and Data over Frame Relay, Private Networking, and Distributed Enterprise Networks.
